Rue de Paradis in Paris' 10th arrondissement was the main street for ceramics and crystal manufacturers, including the houses of Saint-Louis, Choisy-le-Roi and Baccarat. In 1889, Hippolyte Boulanger, head of the Choisy-le-Roi factory, inaugurated his headquarters at number 18 rue Paradis. In this building, numerous ceramic tiles contribute to the exterior and interior decor, providing a catalog of the factory's expertise.
