SALES CONDITIONS SPECIFIC TO ENTOMOLOGY
CITES Appendices I, II and III are transcribed into Appendices A, B and C in the European Union (EU), which may be more restrictive. Some species are thus "NON CITES", meaning that they only appear on EU lists in Appendices B, C or D.
Specimens belonging to species listed in these appendices, as indicated in the list at lot level, are issued with documents allowing them to be sold.
They may circulate freely within the European Union, subject to presentation of proof of legal provenance.
It is essential to keep this document, as well as the catalog.
All Appendix I/A and II/A species are accompanied by an Intra-Community Certificate (CIC).
The few species protected on national territory and present in certain lots were collected well before the prohibition decrees and may therefore be marketable.
The trade and circulation of species not listed in the Appendices and not protected on national territory are free in the E.U., without justification or authorization.
Please note Possession of the documents required by CITES for specimens of species listed in Appendix A, B or C allows them to be traded and transported within the E.U.. BUT does not authorize their export. To export them outside the E.U., you need to apply for an export permit from the CITES department responsible for your area.
Please note: an export permit may be refused by the E.U., but if it is granted this does not imply that the corresponding import permit will automatically be issued by the country of destination. All these formalities are the responsibility of the buyer.
